We have been submiting alpacaspace.com links to search engines and found one to be of a special use. It is for blogs, we have submitted the main blog page so any blog that is updated here will be in the top spots on the search engines. If you have an alpaca related blog we would suggest submitting a link to them, here is the site Blogs Directory We also found another blog directory  That we feel is useful and would suggest submitting your blog there also. Remember our member blogs have already been submitted to these directories. Here is another directory of intrest  And another  As you can see we are trying to not only create links for alpacaspace.com but hopefully we are helping others promote their alpaca related sites.
We also have been testing alpacaspace.com and how everything works. We are getting ready to ad a few more features that will help in the posting of classifieds and events. We are also getting ready to set up the member profiles to be able to use any myspace code that is available. So you can custom your profile and make it all your own. We understand this is going to be a long process but are here to finish out the trip and hopfully succed in what we are trying to do and that is create an alpaca social network that is as much informational as it is fun. Easter has come and gone and my daughter has a ton of candy and eggs. Since the holiday has passed we must get back to work and enjoy egg salad sandwiches for a few days.
Today we have started back on the task of setting everything up. It has been a great and wonderful experience. We have added categories to the photo gallery and classifieds. We also have begun testing the site and even created a poll. As far as advertising the site we have continued with squidoo and also created a feed burner account that will automatically grab the blogs posted on alpacaspace and make them available to a wider audience. On squidoo we created a group for alpaca related sites and lenses. You can find that group here. We think it would be a great idea for every farm to create a lens and join the group. Not only will it give your farm another way to promote it will also give you a opportunity to meet new people committed to the alpaca community. You can build as many lenses that you would like. Example you could create one for your farm and one for your products you sell. It is just another way to get the word out to the public.
One of our features is the event section. A farm or organization can post their event and members of alpacaspace can let the event poster know if they will be attending right here on the site. There is a calender view of the events listings and the listings can be searched by state, city, postal code, keywords, and type of event listed. Events can be featured and the poster can send invites to members if they wish. As you can see the features here on alpacaspace.com are simply the best on the web. We felt that we should give a little insight into the reason we are creating alpacaspace.com and hope the dream we have comes true.
My wife loves alpacas and some day we will start a farm. But until then we felt that the alpaca industry needed a place to go and communicate with each other and have fun doing it. Also we thought if we could create something new for the industry we could help provide information to those who would like to get into the alpaca lifestyle. Our site alpacaspace.com is just that, a social network for everyone to join and communicate. If you are a farm or simply someone who loves alpacas then alpacaspace.com is for you. The main focus of alpacaspace.com is to spread the word about alpacas and create a buzz around the industry. Hello, We have been working our fingers to the bone updating catagories in the music section, classifieds section, profile section and alot of other tedious tasks. We thought we would take a break and blog alittle about some of the features you will be able to enjoy. For example in the music section you can create a album and add files to them. This may not sound any different than any other site but there is one twist we have a section for podcasts thats right farms can now upload there podcast files in an album with there own artwork as the album picture and everyone can listen to the podcast here on alpacaspace.com. Imagine how you can distinguish your farm from everyone elses by having a podcast. Podcasts are a great way to advertise your niche in the alpaca industry. You would be able to keep in touch with everyone and even answer questions people ask you. If you dont know how to record a podcast dont worry the feature is here to stay and soon we will be outlining a simple way to record it and upload it. If you cant wait simply google it and you will start getting the answers you need. Ok that is just one small feature our site has to offer. Welcome To the first post. We are very excited to let everyone know we are in the process of creating the one and only social network for alpaca enthusiests. We here at alpacaspace.com welcome any and all comments about what we are doing here. We hope to help new owners, farms, suppliers, orginizations and more to get the word out about themselves. As the dust settles around here you will see allot of changes and new features. Please be patient as we complete this task and a dream come true for us.
